Moonkit brushed against his mother's fur.
"NightTail is a warrior that I met" he said to Dawnblaze. "He's gonna be my mentor when I'm 6 moons!"

"That's great sweetie." Dawnblaze smiled down at him, and looked at NightTail sternly.

Dawnblaze regarded him, then turned back to Moonpaw.
"Well now. It seems like you might have a lot of fun with this.. Apprentice." She smirked, but then quickly smiled
at NightTail.
"I have a feeling your going to make him a great warrior." She said confidently.
"I better be going, Thunderstar's waiting, and he's healing well Moonpaw, no need to worry." And with the swish of her tail she leapt away and
left Moonpaw and NightTail alone.

Moonkit purred at the thought of NightTail helping him become a warrior.
"Bye NightTail! I'm off to my favorite tree!" He cheered. Moonkit got to his paws and padded to his oak tree.

Dawnblaze walked back to her den, and greeted
Thunderstar. Then, she ran off to find some food for
her to eat. She came across a rabbit, but saw foam coming from its mouth.
She sprinted quickly away, and stumbled across 30.. Maybe 60.. Dead animals. Deers, rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, even birds..
Lying dead on the ground. Dawnblaze quickly checked out the scene,
and saw little bits of foam in each of the animals mouths.
"The Wild disease.." She said quietly.

Moonkit stretched on a branch that had softer bark.
"NightTail will teach me everything there is to know." he assured himself happily.
His eyes led his head down toward the base of the trunk. He saw a dead squirrel lying there.
'Oh, that's the one I killed,' he thought. He was sure of this until he saw another one, and another, and a deer, and a rabbit.
'Where did those come from?' he asked himself.
"Oh! The foam! The, um.. r-rabbies. Yeah, that's it. Poor animals." He muttered.

Dawnblaze stepped away from the scene and back towards
camp. "The Wild disease is coming among us.." She said quietly.
Suddenly, she saw a tuft of fur buried in a pile of leaves.
She hesitantly stepped closer to get a look.
Fear ran down her spine as she figured out what it was.
It was a cat's body.. One of her family's body and.. with a chill she
realized who the cat was. It was DawnMorning, buried in the leaves,
dead. With a little bit of foam seeping through her
mouth. Dawnblaze charged back to camp, looking for Moonpaw.
Finally, she spotted him.
"M-Moon!" She said, and quickly checked him over.
"I-I've found DawnMorning. S-She's dead."

Moonkit hopped down from the oak, avoiding the dead animals.
He ignored NightTail for second. "What!?" He screeched with tears in his eyes. He jolted to his mother and buried his face in her fur, sobbing and crying.

-he wondered why he was crying.. until he saw the dead animals.- "Errr.." -he followed moonkit.-

"NightTail," he started. "DawnMorning is dead. She was the youngest kit. She's gone." he cried gently.

Dawnblaze looked over to where her body lay and said grimly, "The Wild disease is among us Moon. The Wild disease drives
animals insane, and it slowly eats the animal alive. Sometimes, the animal can go canniball and can hard to defeat. Like those squirrels
and raccoons we fought." Word got around quickly about DawnMorning and three med cats came and carefully carried DawnMorning to
the burial grounds. Dawnblaze took Moonpaw and walked over to where her body lay, she turned around and spoke to her family.
"This killing was no accident my friends. It was those of the Wild Disease. The disease those raccoons and squirrels had. It has traveled by
air too, and deers have suffered too. We must all stick together, and make sure none of us suffer this fate Stargazer's kit as suffered."

Dawnblaze watched as NightTail comforted her kit.
She examined him again, once.
Then she picked up Moonpaw and left Stargazer to her privacy
with her dead kit.

Moonkit sobbed more.
His only chance for love was dead. Nothing. DawnMorning was the only girl kitten that couldv'e been a good match with Moonkit, but it was gone.
"I thought it was called rabbies, Mother?" He asked with the only breath he had.

Dawnblaze dropped him in his nest and cocked her head.
"Where did you hear that Moon?" She asked him and said quietly,
"Moon, there used to be a Clan way back when I was a kit, called the Starstriker Clan..
Their whole clan got wiped out because of the Wild Disease. I'm afraid it might happen to ours if.."
She stopped short and took a big breath, "If we don't leave. Now."

"Leave? But this our home!" he cried.
"Where are we supposed to go? The Twolegs?
Then the idea hit him. "We can go with ScreechPelt! He's out in the woods. We'll send someone to look for him and ask if we can shelter with him! Only until this disease clears out!" He suggested.

"I know it is.. I've lived here since I was a kit.. It'll be heartbreaking, but we must save our clan.
Moving in with ScreechPelt might be our only option.."

Moonkit sprang up.
"I'll find him. I'll ask if he can take us in. I won't let you down, I promise Mother. Let me go find him."
He said bravely. He was positive he could do this mission alone, until he remembered he was only a kit. "NightTail could come with me." he suggested.

OOC// Yesh yesh Samms must come on now. Oh and Moon is too little for the name Moonpaw, so his name is Moonkit until he's 6 moons :O

Crystalpool padded around, looking for something to do.

Moonkit lugged his paws with the rest of the Clan.
They were heading to ScreechPelt's new home in need of shelter from the wild disease.
'Thank StarClan that I'm alive.' he thought to himself.
Moonkit helped the elders go along the path and sniffed for ScreechPelt's scent.

Dawnblaze searched around for the old out cast,
and wondered where he could of gotten to.
