Crystalpool looked at the other cats. "They'll bring their stronger warriors," she mewed, "Did you notice that their leader, and the strongest warriors weren't here? Only Blazepelt..." her voice trailed off, and she tasted the air. Risingpaw sat next to Crystalpool, panting.

Duskheart growled in agreement.
"You're right. We must still be prepared for another attack." he said.
"And you," he started, looking at Crystalpool. "I didn't see you the whole fight. I was so worried!" he smiled, flicking his tail across her flank.

-NightStar came back, knowing that the solarclan was gone-

"They might be gone now, but they most likely will be back later," he reminded his leader.

Crystalpool smiled, and flicked her tail over his ear. "Well, there was this huge tabby, with a puny apprentice. The tabby ran and fled right when I saw him, but the apprentice put up a actual fight." Her eyes sparkled with amusement.

Duskheart smiled in entartainment.
He could almost see the tiny cat swatting at Crystalpool.
"SolarClan these days, hmm?" he purred.

"Yep." he said looking at duskheart.

Crystalpool let out a mrrow of laughter. "Yup." she mewed, and looked at the cats. "We'd better get back to camp," she mewed, "to warn the others."

"Yes, we should. Nightstar, you should probably call a meeting," Duskheart suggested. He trotted along Crystalpool's side into the camp clearing.

Duskheart dipped his head with respect.
He picked up the vole, squirrel and mouse the hunting patrol had caught and brought it to the fresh-kill pile.

A thought haunted Duskheart's mind. The more he tried to push it away, the more it came back to tease his brain.
You're just paranoid, he tried to convince himself.

Risingpaw yawned loudly, and Crystalpool's eyes glowed with amusement. "you should get some rest, little one." she mewed, pushing Risingpaw to the apprentice den. Risingpaw nodded wearily, almost asleep on his paws.

Duskheart glanced up at the night sky, seeing the bright moon.
"You should call the meeting now, Nightstar," he meowed, nudging his leader's flank with his nose.

Crystalpool padded over to Duskheart's side. "We'll need our strongest warriors out on watch." she mewed, flicking her tail. "We need them to guard the nursery and the opening to the camp."

Duskheart nodded.
"Risingpaw, you should guard the nursery with Boulderpaw and Robinpaw."
he ordered while glancing down at the apprentice.
"Crystalpool, guard the clearing of camp with...-he searched around for warriors fit for the job- ... Huantedtail and Darkclaw. I have to stay at Nightstar's side, just in case something happens."

Risingpaw stepped out of the apprentice den and nodded. He gathered the others with a sweep of his tail, and ran to the nursery.

Crystalpool nodded. She ran to the warrior den to get the tabby and the black cat. They ran out into the clearing, and Crystalpool searched the ridge of the camp for intruder cats. She glanced at Duskheart ever so often, then at the horizon.

After LunarClan's leader finished the meeting, the rest of the cats became prepared.
The elder's den, apprentices den, and nursery were blocked off by brave cats.
Duskheart's ear pricked as a yowl rose from the woods. He tensed and knew SolarClan was approaching, but this time with the leader and stronger warriors.
"Get ready to battle!" Duskheart growled while curling his lip back and charged into the camp clearing.

Crystalpool glared across the clearing, searching for the SolarClan cats. She tasted the air, and knew they were there, but she couldn't see them. Suddenly, a massive tabby slammed into Crystalpool, knocking the breath out of her. She belly raked him, and relized it was the SolarClan leader, Stormstar[[I just put a random name there. xD]]. She hissed and spat, trying to throw the leader off of her.She threw him off, but Stormstar's claws shot out, and he smacked them across her face.Crystalpool gasped, and blacked out.

Risingpaw fought with the other apprentices against two muscular warriors. Eventually, they both ran with their tails between their legs.

Duskheart shot with fury as the SolarClan leader hurt his best friend.
He sheathed his claws, leaped at Stormstar, and sank his teeth into his broad shoulder. The enemy yowled in pain, and turned his amber gaze filled with anger on Duskheart. Duskheart scraped his claws over the leader's battle-scarred muzzle. Stormstar ripped the fur off Duskheart's hind-leg with his teeth. Duskheart hid his pain through a deep growl, his lip curled to show his thorn-sharp fangs. He raked into Stormstar's flank, sending the bleeding leader back to his camp.

Risingpaw and the other apprentices chased the last of the SolarClan cats out of camp. "And stay out!" he yowled, his eyes narrowed. "That was the last of them." he mewed to Duskheart, then gasped when he saw Crystalpool's limp body. "Crystalpool!" he gasped, running to his mentor. "W-Wake up!" he murmured, fighting back tears. Crystalpool did nothing.

"Ok Risingpaw. You did outstanding." Duskheart mewed.
He turned to Crystalpool. Duskheart lay on her motionless body and licked her ear. "No Crystalpool. Don't do this to me." he murmured to her.
