Crystalpool dropped her fresh-kill too. Risingpaw, Rainpelt, and Sharpclaw were coming over, and they dropped the herbs. "C'mon Risingpaw." Crystalpool mewed, "Time to go home." She padded past Duskheart, and her pelt brushed his. She came up to Rainpelt. "I don't think Stormstar'll show it, but he's grateful for us." she whispered, her tail curled up in amusement.

Duskheart knew she was coming. The clouds drifted towards him from Silverpelt until they formed a cat shape. The white she-cat appeared. "Mother, what am I supposed to do?" he murmured. She flicked her ears. "Just believe dear," she stammered. Duskheart sunk his muzzle into her flank. Soon the she-cat dissapeared, and Duskheart woke up.

Crystalpool looked to Silverpelt above her. A starry cat appeared infront of her. "Goldenfeather!" she gasped, and pressed her muzzle to her sister's. "I've seen what's happened between you and Duskheart." Goldenfeather mewed. "What am I suppose to do?" Crystalpool asked. "Follow your heart. It knows the best paths to take." Goldenfeather mewed, then faded. Crystalpool woke up, but the words still drifted in her head. Follow your heart. It knows the best paths to take.

Duskheart stood below the Highrock, scanning the Clan.
He watched the apprentices run off with their mentors and elders in their dens chatting about the old days. He observed a gray queen trotting out of the nursery with a white kit in her mouth.

Crystalpool padded out of the warrior den. She looked at Duskheart on the Highrock and met his gaze. She waved her tail.

Duskheart stood still.
He flicked his ears to acknowledge Crystalpool, and turned around, still scanning.

Crystalpool looked at Duskheart longingly, and was about to call his name, when Risingpaw padded up next to her.

Duskheart padded into the nursery to get away from the awkward.
He watched the helpless kits suckling their mothers. One dusky brown kit waddled away from its mother toward Duskheart. The brown kit's glittering green eyes gaped up at Duskheart. "Emeraldkit! Get back here." his mother called, and the young cat stumbled back. Duskheart smiled as Emeraldkit waddled.

-Coldstar looked at the ground, upsetting-

"Can we go to the training hollow?" Risingpaw asked, and Crystalpool nodded. They padded through the forest together, until they got to the mossy forest bed.

Duskheart nodded good-bye to the brown kit and padded out of the nursery.
He approached Coldstar. "Should I check on SolarClan?" he inquired.

Crystalpool and Risingpaw returned later with voles in their jaws. They dropped them off, and Risingpaw ran to the apprentice den. Crystalpool stretched, and began licking herself clean of moss.

Duskheart made way through to the Highrock.
He stepped softly onto the boulder.
Duskheart buffed out his flank as he began to speak. "SolarClan is free of this rabbies. They're doing fine and we no longer need to care for them." he announced firmly. He had wisdom is his broad voice as he spoke. He leaped down with gentle paws. Duskheart caught a glimpse of Crystalpool, and embarrasment forced him to look down at his paws.

Crystalpool glanced at Duskheart, and padded over to the warrior den. She yawned and fell into a deep sleep.

Duskheart waited on the mound of moss. He paced, expecting a StarClan cat to drift toward him. But his mother never came. He woke up and decided that she didn't have anything to tell him.
Duskheart got to his paws and padded out of the warrior den. His eyes drifted to the entrance to camp. About to leap toward, a group of eager cats crowded him asking about patrol.

Crystalpool looked at the group of cats around Duskheart, after she woke up. She sighed and walked over, wondering if she would be chosen for a patrol. Risingpaw can have the day off. He has worked hard. she decided, and wondered if she should talk to Coldstar about him becoming a warrior soon.

After telling a broad tom, Boulderpelt, to go on partol, he nervously looked at Crystalpool. He buffed out his chest slightly, to make it look like he was giving stern orders. "Crystalpool, come with me, uh, on partol," he stumbled.

Crystalpool smirked and flicked her tail. "Of course, deputy." she teased, puffing her chest out, too.

Duskheart's eyes sparkled in amusement.
She doesn't completely hate me, he thought.
Duskheart trotted through the entrance of brambles. He stumbled on a few thorns, but hid his discomfort.
Duskheart lifted his head to drink in the scent and he smelled Twolegs. He was going the right way.

Crystalpool padded after him, tugging free of the brambles, losing a small bunch of fur on the way. She hissed, but kept walking, next to Duskheart.

In the distance was an abandoned Twoleg nest. The windows were lined with mold, the once perky, bright white paint chipped off the nest, and the structure was rotting away. Duskheart sat down where he was. "Here it is." he announced with a tiny smile.

Crystalpool stopped in her tracks and snorted. "Poor thing!" she mewed, sarcasticly. She sat next to Duskheart. "What are we doing here? No twoleg has been here for ages."

Duskheart flicked his ears. "Exactly. This is a very popular stop for traveling cats." He mewed. Duskheark expected for her to blurt out Why?, so he added, "I'll show you why."
He leaped to the nest, not waiting for Crystalpool to follow. Duskheart raked the earth near the nest and crouched into the rotting wood.

Crystalpool slipped up silently after him, and jumped down. She sat down and said nothing, though her eyes were curious.

The sun barely peaked through the tiny cave. He looked deeply at the moldy ceiling. "There used to be an ArcticClan in the NorthPole. It was told this Clan had warmer blood, and that's how they survived the harsh weather. A plague was brought upon them, and they all were sent to StarClan." Duckheart told. He made a silent prayer as he swiped broken bottles with his paws toward Crystalpool. "It is also told when the sun hits these broken bottles a certain way, a copy of the Northern Lights shows on the moldy walls. It means the ArcticClan is with us." He winked as sunlight stretched into the cave and swallowed the glass. Orange, red, purple, pink, blue, green, and all other shades of colors shone on the wall.
