Moonstar awoke, looked around, and followed Coldstreak.

Crystalpool, who was chasing the badger, stopped, seeing the kit and Coldstreak. "Great StarClan! What happened?" she asked.

"M-my mother d-drowned," The kit squealed.

Coldstreak picked up the frightened kit. "We mustn't leave a kit out in this harsh weather," He mewed, flicking his tail to the dark clouds forming.

"Where should we bring her then?" Moonstar questioned.

"Bring it back to camp for now and let Brightstar decide," He mewed calmly, and got closer and closer to the gorse tunnel.

Coldstreak padded into Brightstar's den with the kit in his jaws. The kit let out a squeak of distress.

Moonstar ran to the nearest shelter, which was Brightstar's den.

Moonstar mewed. "It's a little wet out there."

"Maybe I lied about that part" Moonstar padded over to the kit.

[b]Crystalpool purred, and looked down at the little white kit.
"I hope he'll be ok.." she murmured.

Moonstar stared at the kit. The kit stared back. Moonstar was thinking how someone could leave this cute, defenseless kit alone!

[b]"Poor little guy..." Crystalpool murmured, then more loudly, "How old are you?" she asked.

The kit didn't speak. "I think he's to young to speak yet.."
Moonstar nudged the kit. "She asked you a question" Moonstar told the kit.
