What's a bot? =)

I've realized that sometimes at the bottom of the page with the forums, it says like the registered users and guests, and then sometimes it say there's a bot on O_o

Like, a person making random posts on a site? lol

A bot is a machine sent out by an advertising company such as Google or Bing. Their bots go to forums, make as many advertising/spam threads on the forum as possible and then leave. Sometimes they just hang around and don't post at all. Don't worry, they don't bite.

Yes. Bots go to popular forums, meaning active ones with users who post a lot.

Oh no! Bots don't make forums, they just post on them. Its basically like any other member on here, except they're a computer and they're sent out to spam.

oh ok. I still don't hink i've ever seen one of those though lol
