Moonpaw popped up from behind.
"Hi yah guys!" He boasted.
His tiny fangs sank into the creatures tail.

Thunderstar mumbled under the only breath he had, "Thanks," he said as he dug his claws deep into the lions heart area hopefully getting deep enough to kill him.

Dawnblaze stood back, and watched her and her family's
predator, turn to prey.
Slowly, the lion slowed down, and died.
(Time to feast!) She said joyously.

Moonpaw stared down at the dead lion.
"I helped, right? I helped kill it?" He muttered with little tears in his eyes.

Thunderstar walked over to Moonpaw.
"You little one did great, but, you must be careful. When we tell you to stay in the elders den, you stay there. What happened if the lion was a badger? He'd have his mouth in your flank in a split second." Thunderstar said trying not to scare the little kit.

Dawnblaze smiled, and licked his ear affectionately.
(But you must heed your leader, but anyway,
you did great.)
Then she looked at the evening's feast.
(Better clean up..) She muttered, embarrassed.
She began grooming herself, licking off the dried blood.

Thunderstar walked over to his den and cleaned him self off. Then he decided to have a nap after his tiring battle.

Moonpaw tried to hide his disgust. He didn't want the brave cats seeing his uncomfort, so he stood up and said "Oh Thunderstar, don't worry about me!"

After a thorough cleaning,
Dawnblaze came back to their dead prey, and saw almost all
her family pigging out.
She smiled to herself, and took a quick bite, then took a piece,
and went off to find Thunderstar.
She saw him sleeping deeply, and she quickly put down
his share of the food, and with a quick lick to his ear,
left the den.

Moonpaw loped to his bed, his paws numb. He thought about what the great cats said, knowing they were partially lying.
"They'll never make me a warrior.." He sighed.

MoonPaw's eyes closed, dispite of his insecureity, and he gradually fell asleep, only to find another day of discourage.

Dawnblaze realized it was getting late,
so she headed back to her den.
It had been a loooong day.

Moonpaw woke up to the sun shining on his ears.
Suddenly all his discourage drifted away, as if he forgot what he told himself the night prior.
"Of course they'll make me a warrior," he said cheerfully. "Eventually."

Dawnblaze stretched and looked around her den.
(Wonder what adventure's there'll be today!) She thought,
and went outside for breakfast.

Moonpaw topled over on his back.
He hopped up, and gallloped for a meal.

-Dawnblaze quickly killed a field mouse, and headed back to her den happily-
(Nothing action-packed yet..) She thought. Maybe today would be just normal.. She layed down and bathed in the warm sun.
